I spent two semesters in Moscow. Overall, I would recommend staying for two semesters. I was very pleased with the classes at the Russian Language Center. The teachers there are very competent, and the classes are tailored to the level of each student in the group. I also highly appreciated the efforts of the International Relations Office in organizing courses for exchange students. In the second semester, the course on Dostoevsky (note: "Dostoevsky's Major Works" by Professor T.V. Kovalevskaya) was entirely in English, and in the first semester, I really enjoyed Professor Agadzhanyan's course (note: "Religion in a Secular Age" by Professor A.S. Agadzhanyan).

I just completed the first half of my exchange program in Russia. I lived and studied in Moscow for four months and had a wonderful time.
The Russian Language Center at the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH) has exceptionally organized staff and teachers. My Russian language skills improved significantly in such a short time, and the teaching methods were second to none. Our teachers spoke primarily Russian, which was crucial in improving my language proficiency. To learn a new language, you must be completely immersed in the language. Since the teaching was conducted exclusively in Russian, I acquired many useful skills and also began to think in Russian instead of English.
The teachers at the Russian Language Center are very professional and friendly. I could turn to them with any questions, and they were always willing to help. They also gave me recommendations for cultural events and places to visit during our stay in Moscow. For example, one teacher recommended a park I wouldn't have gone to without her recommendation. The park turned out to be a wonderful place, and I'm grateful to her for telling me about it.
We studied at the Russian Language Center four days a week. Our courses were quite intensive, which helped us significantly improve our Russian. Living in Moscow was a fantastic experience. I was able to constantly use Russian in everyday life: reading, listening, and speaking Russian. In my free time, I visited many museums, parks, and galleries. I was amazed by the beauty of this city and recommend everyone to visit it at least once. It was a truly unforgettable and unique experience, and I feel lucky to have been given this opportunity. In the coming months in St. Petersburg, I hope to refine my acquired skills and get the most out of my experience.

My Russian has improved significantly. I was able to get to Volgograd on my own, using the knowledge I gained in Russian classes. I'm also very happy that I was able to collect data for my dissertation research.
